About Xscapers Annual Bash

Xscapers Annual Bash is what happens when a bunch of working-aged RVers decide that life on the road deserves its own wild, weird, one-of-a-kind party. Launched in 2016 with a handful of rigs and a whole lot of enthusiasm, Bash has grown into an epic week-long desert takeover — packed with live music, theme nights, outrageous games, daytime seminars, and enough community energy to power a fleet of solar rigs.

We’re not your grandma’s RV rally (unless she’s into body glitter and dance-offs at midnight). Bash is for the misfits, the full-timers, the weekend warriors, the remote workers, the roadschooling families, the solo nomads — basically anyone living life on their own terms and looking for their people.

Whether you’ve been to every Bash or you’re just thinking about your first one, this is where strangers become friends, weird becomes wonderful, and the memories stick long after the dust settles.

About Escapees RV Club & Xscapers

Escapees Logo

Escapees RV Club has been supporting RVers since 1978 — long before #vanlife was trending and campground Wi-Fi was even a thing. What started as a tight-knit community for full-time travelers has grown into one of the largest and most respected RV clubs out there, offering everything from mail forwarding and domicile help to campgrounds, advocacy, and events.

Xscapers is the club’s younger, rowdier, Wi-Fi-hungry sibling — created specifically for working-aged RVers who are juggling work, families, and a deep love of life on the move. We’re all about community, connection, and keeping the spirit of Escapees alive… just with louder music and more theme nights.

Whether you’re driving a big rig, a vintage van, or something you built in your driveway, there’s a place for you here. This isn’t just a club — it’s a lifestyle. And we’re glad you found us.

About Care

Escapees CARE (Continuing Assistance for Retired Escapees) is a nonprofit founded by RVers, for RVers — providing a safe, supportive place for members who need a little extra help due to age, injury, or illness. Located in Livingston, Texas, CARE offers adult day care services, temporary assisted living, and the comfort of community when it’s needed most.

At Bash, we proudly support CARE through donation drives and our annual silent auction, with all proceeds going directly to this incredible organization. So when you bid on that weird-but-awesome handcrafted flamingo lamp or toss a few bucks in the CARE jar, know you’re helping fellow RVers stay on the road — or find support when they can’t.

Rhys Martin

Route 66 Road Ahead Partnership

Rhys Martin is an author and photographer from Tulsa, Oklahoma. His love of travel was awakened in 2009 when he sold all of his possessions and left the country. For ten months, he lived out of a backpack and explored southeast Asia and Europe. When he returned home, it was with fresh eyes for his home state. As he drove the back roads of Oklahoma, Rhys discovered the significance of historic Route 66 to the greater American story. He has traveled all 2,448 miles of the Mother Road and continues to seek out the quiet Main Streets of the Midwest.

Rhys’s travel writing and photography has been featured in numerous local, regional, and national publications. He wrote the book Lost Restaurants of Tulsa, which features the stories of nearly 50 iconic eating establishments from the city’s past, and was a contributing author for Route 66: 100 Years which released this past November.

Rhys is the current President of the Oklahoma Route 66 Association and serves on multiple boards and commissions related to the Mother Road, including the Route 66 Road Ahead Partnership. Since 2024 he has also worked for the National Trust for Historic Preservation as their national Preserve Route 66 manager. He loves to connect with people and share his experiences.
