She’s also been the Director of the RVer Job Exchange since early 2021.

With 10+ years’ experience in job search and careers – beginning in college career services and growing into a successful business as a multi-certified resume writer and career coach – Lezlie is working to bring in a strong balance of fully-remote full-time and part-time employment opportunities in addition to the more traditional workamping jobs already available.

Healthy RV Living – Nutrition Tips While Traveling

We are Chris and Aaron, a married couple who have been traveling the country while running our online fitness and nutrition coaching business since January 2019.

Prior, we both worked corporate careers in management, sales, and operations in Minneapolis, MN until we realized our passions were elsewhere. These were spending time with each other, the love of food, maintaining a healthy lifestyle with fitness, and traveling this amazing country.

We look forward to adventurous bursts of overlanding, balanced with the comforts of our RV back at basecamp. Chris is a certified personal trainer and nutrition coach working online with clients all across the country.

Whereas Aaron is on the tech side creating/maintaining the website (Irene Iron Fitness), as well as doing all of the YouTube video productions. About 6 months into our travels we started a YouTube channel (Irene Iron Travels) to share our lifestyle and experiences with others just as we had been inspired a few years before. The channel is a reality-style showing the day-to-day mobile living as well as our travels around the country.

Kavanagh’s Adventures

Planning for Alaska – What you Need to Know

Charlie and I began our RV’ing life by traveling with our kids during our summer vacations. As school teachers, we had 8 weeks to cram in all the fun we could out west and race back to New York and the grind of our fulltime jobs. We promised ourselves that one day we would do this full time.

After our second retirement, we sold the house and belongings and set out for our fulltime adventure. Partime RV’ing and fulltime are two different things and within our first week, we stumbled into Dome Rock in Quartzite for what would be the first of many fun and informative experiences with the most caring and inclusive group of people.

We learned so much from our Xscaper family and are happy to pass along any help we can to those just starting or someone looking for a new boon-docking spot. This January 2021 marks the beginning of our 6th year “On the Road” as full-timers and we can’t imagine stopping anytime soon.

Jason & Lisa Reich

Planning for Alaska – What you Need to Know

Jason and Lisa Reich have been traveling full time in their Class A RV for six years, covering much of the US and Canada so far. They both grew up in Vancouver Canada and lived in San Diego for 16 years before hitting the road.

Jason is a software developer working on the road, and Lisa is a retired travel agent. Both enjoy national parks, hiking, visiting small towns, and searching for great beer and ice cream.

Hollie Parks

Escapees RV Club

Future Convergences and How to Join in the Fun

Hollie hails from Northern Michigan and is a US Navy Veteran. In 2017, after suffering the loss of some close friends, Hollie and her husband Aaron decided life was too short to wait until retirement to fulfill their dreams of RVing around the country. They sold their belongings and bought their first RV in May of 2017 and were on the road, fulltime by September. Shortly after beginning their journey, Hollie discovered the Xscapers. It took one convergence and she was hooked for life!

Hollie aims to keep the party going with new and exciting locations and events. She wants to continue to build the community and ensure that we create space for both OG Xscapers and newcomers, alike!

Jim Koca

Jim is a retired police officer and police academy director with over 40 years of service. He is currently a reserve deputy for Reagan County Texas.

During his career, he specialized in collision reconstruction. This involved investigating the causes and consequences of vehicle collisions. Collision reconstruction has given him a unique perspective on vehicle safety, enabling him to train officers across the country.

He also shares this information with RVers through numerous columns and programs. These include RVers’ Boot Camp and RVers Online University, both of which are operated by Escapees RV Club. Jim is also a WeighMaster with Escapees’ SmartWeigh program.

Travis is the grandson of the Escapees Founders Joe and Kay and no stranger to the RV lifestyle or the club. Melanie was introduced to the lifestyle at a young age through family vacations and has always had a passion for travel.

In 2015, Travis and Melanie founded a group within Escapees called Xscapers to better cater to the working-aged RVer. They now represent the third generation of family leadership as the President and Vice President of Escapees RV Club.

Brandon Hatcher & Kerensa Durr

Escapees RV Club

Panelist

Kerensa Durr & Brandon Hatcher hit the road as full-timers in January of 2014. After years of moving for jobs, they decided to go where they wanted and take the jobs with them. They spent their time finding regional foods, cool places to dive, and meeting other RVers.

On their journey, they created a course for others who wanted to join the freedom of full-time RVing to help with the transition. The course is now part of RVers Online University.

After attending too many Convergences to count and even hosting one, they officially joined the Escapees team in marketing. Currently, they’re learning to balance travel with a newer home base. Thankfully, Xscapers are never too far away.
