Join the Early Arrival Team & Establish Arrival for the Invaders!
Look for a link to apply in your confirmation email after registering. Only registered attendees may volunteer.
Lot Striping:
- Arrive up to 5 days early and be available during the daytime all week long leading up to the event.
- Assist in painting all the parking spaces for the event.
- Assist with parking on arrival day.
- Ability to stand, walk, and help carry heavy items i.e. unloading the event trailer.
- Help assemble, raise, lower, and disassemble the tent when applicable.
Parking Crew:
- Arrive up to 2 days early
- Ability to walk/stand for extended periods of time.
- Help raise and lower the tent when applicable.
- Available during the day on Friday prior to assisting with last-minute setup.
- On arrival day assist with showing attendees their parking section and spot.
- Expect lots of walking and extended periods of standing
Event Setup & Teardown
- Arrive 2 -3 days early.
- Ability to help move heavy items.
- Help raise and lower the tent when applicable.
- Assist with setting up tables and benches throughout the week.
- Must be available during the day on Thursday and Friday prior to the event.
- Teardown may be asked to stay a day longer to assist in event clean up.
Registration & Check In:
- Arrive 1-2 days early.
- Available Friday before the start of the event for volunteer meetings and assist with last-minute setup.
- Available on arrival day to greet and check in attendees.
Mail Room & Merchandise Booth:
- Arrive 1-2 days early.
- Be available to pick up and sort packages daily throughout the week.
- Be available during mail room hours (this is often late afternoon/ early evening).
- Assist with merchandise sales and counts.
Trash/Recycling:
- Arrive 1-2 days early.
- Be available to empty trash cans and bring trash to dumpsters.
- Help keep the event area free from trash.
- If recycling is available at the event, maintain recycling bins (i.e. emptying and replacing bags).
Xscapers Olympic Committee (XOC):
- Arrive 1-2 days early.
- Work with XOC leaders to run games during the event.
- Will not be able to participate in the games.
Bar Staff:
- Arrive up to 1 day early.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Work with lead bar staff, taking shifts to serve at the bar throughout the week (bar is open late afternoon and evening).
Kids Camp:
- Arrive up to 2 days early.
- Members attending with families are preferred.
- Work with other volunteers to organize and implement daytime activities for kids in attendance.
- Be available during the day to assist with kids’ activities.
Fire Attendants:
- Arrive up to 1 day early.
- Be available at night to light and maintain the group camp fire.
- Ensure fire safety
Stage Manager:
- Arrive up to 2-3 days early.
- Be available during the day throughout the week.
- Work with the lead stage manager to assist with sound, lighting, and stage operations.
Bash Buddy:
- Arrive 2-3 days early.
- Must have attended at least one previous Annual Bash.
- Wear a special identifier as a Bash Buddy at least twice during the week.
- Be open to meeting new Bash attendees and introducing them to others.
- Be open to answering questions and assisting new attendees when they need help.
- Work with Convergence Director to address any issues that may be brought to your attention.
Safety Officers:
- Arrive 2-3 days early.
- Commit to one or two evenings of remaining sober to help ensure the safety of other attendees.
- Work with Convergence Director and event staff to address any concerns.
- Be willing to step in if you see another Xscapers in trouble (or at the very least, get someone who can help).
